Located in Cook County, Tinley Park has a healthy population of almost 57,000. Tinley Park was originally established in 1853 as “Bremen.” Due to Bremen’s location along the Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railroad, residents were encouraged to change the village’s name to Tinley Park in 1890 to honor Samuel Tinley, their first railroad station agent.
